On-Line auction for needy children

An on-line auction in support of helping needy children in Cambodia is being hosted by the Seattle-based non-governmental organisation, STOP EXPLOITATION NOW! from today until 1 July. Established in 2005, this worthy cause is aimed at stopping the exploitation, abuse, and neglect of women and children in Southeast Asia and providing basic support such as food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and educational opportunities to impoverished individuals. Their goal is to implement projects that have major and lasting impacts on the lives of those in need. One of the organisations they support is AFESIP, who I featured in my blog a few days ago, and their extraordinary efforts to combat the trafficking of women and children, led by their dynamic president, Somaly Mam (pictured).

I wholeheartedly endorse the mission and activities of Stop Exploitation Now and this auction. I urge everyone to bid and bid generously. I have given it a similar mention in my own blog (http://developmentinternational.blogspot.com/).
