Lovers of reggae fused with rock and some great vocalists should make sure they get to one of the forthcoming gigs by the band Gabbidon, in the next month. Led from the front by guitarist and singer Basil Gabbidon (pictured), the band will play a series of gigs on the back of their success at Glastonbury and are an integral part of this weekend's Arts Fest in Birmingham.
On Friday 14th, they kick off at The Drum and then on Saturday, they will play on the main stage in Centenary Square, as well as an acoustic set at the CBSO Centre.
On Thursday 4 October they will be at their regular spot at The Jam House in St Paul's Square, Birmingham and follow that up with gigs at the Birmingham Town Hall on Sunday 7 October, in Gloucester on Monday 15 October (my birthday!) and are at The Cross in Moseley on Friday 19 October. The band are definitely worth a look, they play a great range of reggae classics as well as their own compositions.

It was remiss of me to not mention a few forthcoming YAZ ALEXANDER gigs, so here goes:
Today (15 Sept) she'll be performing at the Birmingham Arts Fest, so don't miss this annual event.
Sat 20 October, Yaz will perform at the Stroud Music Festival in Gloucestershire.
Friday 2 November, in Manchester at H.I.M. Coronation Celebration Concert @ Claremont Road, Moss-side, Manchester, Northwest M15.
Selassie I Brother’s present a Special late night concert event with hit special guest artists - including Yaz Alexander alongside Black Pearl (her backing vox) to celebrate in musically Rastafarian fine style H.I.M. Coronation in 2007. Sound System (playin from yester year to now), Food (variety), Security (Tight) & Peaceful vibes all night.
